Are you based in San Francisco?

No. I am outside Washington, DC, and the Bay is one of the two places I shoot most.

The reason that works is simple. Sourcing the crew is my job, not yours. You give me a date and a brief, and I come back with the people, the gear, and the locations already lined up. A producer being local matters far less than whether the crew is.

The client-facing difference is usually one travel day.

What a Bay Area job looks like

Mostly founder-led and product work for software and AI companies. One to three shoot days, crews sized to the job rather than to a package.

Tell me about your project on a call together. 2-3 business days later you could have the crew, the gear, and the number.

And the cheapest upgrade you can buy is lead time. Two weeks, three weeks, a month out, and everybody stays chill. Better crew, better rates, more choices on location. A week out costs you more and gets you less.

How fast?

A straightforward one or two day shoot can usually be crewed inside a week. Faster is possible and carries a premium, which I will quote before you commit.

Whose name is on it?

A good share of my Bay Area work is white label under another studio brand. Your client sees your brand, your invoice, your deck.

What it costs

If you're staying the production company, I come in as your line producer. Remote is $950 a day and it's most of what I do. On set is $1,250 plus travel.

If I'm carrying the production, contracts and insurance and budget included, a one or two day shoot usually runs $15,000 to $20,000.

A standard one-day, two-camera shoot is $15,000 all in for production only. Post-production is not included.
